Status of Posidonia oceanica and associated communities in the Cinque Terre MPA

This project was within a framework of coordinated actions carried out by the University of Genoa and the Cinque Terre MPA. In this specific action, the status of a yet undescribed Posidonia oceanica meadow was analysed. The meadow had been discovered during previous field surveys performed by GAIA under the project Evaluation of impacts by fishing and diving activities on benthic communities in the Cinque terre MPA. GAIA acted as a subcontractor to carry out field surveys and laboratory analysis. The project was launched in September 2008 and ended in September 2010.
